Liberation

Black Women! I need your opinion!

I found this article from a black woman's Facebook page. Please let me know your thoughts on this. Ladies. Just how far are YOU willing to go for the 'liberation' of the Black People? How much are YOU, personally, willing to give up to see the injustices against the Black Male, rectified? Are you willing to be beaten? Are you willing to be shot? Are you willing to DIE? And if you are, then what do you believe will happen AFTER he is liberated. Are you next in line? Will HE set YOU free? Will YOUR standing be any better than it is now? Has HE had a history of paying **** forward, and taking care of YOU, after you've taken care of HIM? These are the types of questions you need to be willing to answer, before you go posting all this "Im am Trayvon' and "DONT SHOOT. I Want to Grow Up" stuff on your FB page and Avatar. You may want to ask yourself if YOU are ready to stand and FACE what you feel seeks to destroy Black Men, and are YOU willing to be taken out in the name of "The Revolution". Those of us who have a deeper understanding of certain kinds of energies, and have some understanding of Dark Wisdom, know how DANGEROUS it is to associate you or loved ones, image, with that of The Sacrifice - (something or someone that is used, slaughtered, compromised, negotiated, slain, abused, sold or imprisoned so that someone else can WIN!, benefit, avoid punishment or feed off of that energy). When you place YOUR image in the position of those who have already been Sacrificed, you are literally saying that YOU TOO, are willing to be used in that way. In essence, THE VERY THING YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE PROTESTING AGAINST, YOU ARE ASKING FOR. Many BW feel that is is their DUTY to rally, picket, protest, and lend their emotional, mental, economic and physical energies to the causes that seek to address the injustices black males experience that occur at the hands of outsiders. But since ONE SIDED LOYALTY is always at play in the BC, most BW will NEVER see their investment returned and will find that if and when THEY find themselves in a compromising position, they will NOT find their interests as vehemently defended as those they felt so compelled to rally for. Breukelen Bleu and The Black Woman Think Tank., has a standing ‪#‎stayingoutofit‬ policy when it comes to any of these very public battles to defend Black Manhood. Though many of us have BM in our personal lives that we love and care about, we have made the CONSCIOUS decision to remove our supportive energy and emotion from the cause, and focus strictly on those issues that directly affect the safety and welfare of Black Women and Girls. This divestment is a study in DARK DETACHMENT, which is the belief that you are NOT to allow yourself to be emotionally triggered by things that will only serve to feed off of you, later. But for many Black Women, the compulsion to get involved, even if just on an emotional level, it very strong. There is a heavy price to pay when you decide that this is your fight ...and some Black Women are paying it. Earlier this year, Lenore Draper, an anti-violence activist was gunned down outside her home in Chicago. Ms. Draper LOST HER LIFE trying to fight for the lives of BM and the Black Community. http://abc7chicago.com/archive/9517663/ And here in NYC, a young woman died after anti-gun violence rally, in Brooklyn. This tragedy cuts close to home, as the shooting happened on my old block. http://hellobeautiful.com/2014/07/17...e-rally-video/ And then just this week, a young woman was shot in the head, during this current upheaval in Ferguson, MO. Details are still sketchy, but this young woman was protesting the shooting of Mike Brown. http://thatsenuff.com/index.php/2014...ce-photovideo/ And a Black Woman State SENATOR was teargassed, during a protest of the same incident. http://shine.forharriet.com/2014/08/...ged-after.html Black women are are being harmed and GIVING THEIR LIVES in the name of 'fighting for the race', and I am called wonder, when all picket signs and put away and the bull horns are turned off.... WHAT'S IN IT FOR US? There has been a LONG standing history of Black Women fighting on the front lines against the injustices of racism and oppression, many times experiencing their own form of oppression through SEXISM and male supremacy, along the way. Many BW in the Civil Rights era have written about the mistreatment, rape, abuse, and dismissiveness they received, EVEN as they fought to liberate the Black Man. Famed Author, Professor and Activist bell hooks wrote about it in her classic, "Ain I A Woman". http://www.amazon.com/Aint-Woman-Bla.../dp/089608129X And recently, there have been many articles discussing the ONE SIDED ARRANGEMENT of the so called "Liberation' of Black folk. Here... http://www.theroot.com/articles/poli..._movement.html Here... http://www.theroot.com/articles/cult...ashington.html And here... http://www.dummies.com/how-to/conten...n-america.html As Black Women come forward, more and more information is coming out about the TRUE history of the 'liberation' of Blackness, and how BW were treated in the process. Angela Davis speaks to the pervasive SEXISM that was present 40 years ago during the civil rights movement during the documentary, "Free Angela and All Political Prisoners... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrE6yJyMK_c ...and tells of how she had to be liberated by a WHITE FARMER, because no black person had come forward to post bail for her, EVEN as she fought for their liberation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pxqcr_NNsbw And this documentary, "Reflections Unheard' chronicles the experiences of BW during the 'revolution', and many of their experiences mirror what we still see going on today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODSd3P38VJk This practice of Black Women feeling COMPELLED to join the fight against the 'white man' in the names of our sons, fathers, brothers and lovers, is RARELY returned in kind when the time comes. Black Women and Girls are murdered, raped, harmed and mistreated, both within and outside the Black Community EVERY DAY and rarely is the same kind of passion and angst displayed as when a black male is the victim of 'the system'. Some black women are starting take notice, and writings like this.. http://thebrowneyeforever.blogspot.c...woman-who.html while other folks engage in hashtag activism with... ‪#‎blackpowerisforblackmen‬ But in the end, Black Women STILL continue to experiences a disproportionate about of dismissiveness, victim blaming, and ONE SIDED LOYALTY. And what's worse, in our efforts to show our solidarity with the cause, we enlist the use of our own images, and those of our children, as the FACE of the 'struggle' against the "Oppression of the Black Man", placing OURSELVES, in The Sacrifice Seat and painting a huge Energetic Target on our backs. Dr. Claude Anderson WARNED Black Folk about being EMOTIONALLY TRIGGERED, and spoke to our SOCIAL ACTIVISM vs our ECONOMIC RECLAMATION, and 40 years later, we STILL rallying, picketing, protesting, falling out and screaming racism! We never learn. And THAT is why **** doesn't change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U06YyYn3w1w Every BW has to decide for herself whether or not she feels compelled to join this 'fight against oppression". But which ever way she chooses, she has best make sure that SHE has an extra 'insurance policy' on her OWN safety and protection, because history has shown, over...and over...and over again, that when **** hits the fan, and SHE is in need of help, SHES ON HER OWN.
